Samara Named Unanimous Ivy Coach Of the Year; Nine Named All-Ivy

PRINCETON, N.J. – For the sixth time in eight years, William M. Weaver Jr. '34 Head Coach of Men's Track & Field Fred Samara was honored as Ivy League Coach of the Year, earning unanimous honors, while nine other Tigers picked up All-Ivy honors, the conference announced today.

Princeton took its 22nd Ivy indoor title and its eighth since 2010. With winning the 2018 Ivy cross country title, the Tigers have secured the first two legs of the Ivy triple crown.

The men's track and field squad had 139.5 points, 28.5 in front of Penn. Harvard was third (103), Columbia was fourth (83), followed by Brown (62.5) Dartmouth (50), Cornell (41) and Yale (30).

C.J. Licata (shot put) – First-Team All-Ivy
Adam Kelly (weight throw) – First-Team All-Ivy

Simang'aliso Ndhlovu (60m) - Second-Team All-Ivy
Greg Sholars (200m) – Second-Team All-Ivy

Austin Princewill (triple jump) – Second-Team All-Ivy

Kelly was named the Ivy Heps Most Outstanding Male Field Performer after winning his second straight weight throw competition on Saturday. He was also selected as the Suburban Transit/GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week.
