Several Personal-Bests Shattered at FastTrack and Valentine Invites

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Princeton women's track and field team sent competitors to the FastTrack National Invitational and BU Valentine Invitational today.
At the FastTrack Invitational ….
The Tigers dominated the mile, taking home three of the top five runners, highlighted by Alie Fordyce's 4:45.23, ninth fastest in program history. Sophie Cantine was right behind her at 4:45.33 and Laura Hergenrother was fifth (4:54.13).
Anna Jurew won the 800m contest with a 2:09.37. Her teammate, Jackie Berardo was fourth, clocking in at a 2:10.38. Clare Martin set new best time, checking in at 2:16.02.
Mim Buscher shattered her personal-best in the 3,000m (9:51.53), by almost 13 seconds, placing third. Sierra Castaneda (9:52.07) and Katherine Leggat-Barr (9:52.23) also crushed their previous career times.
Princeton had four of the top nine finishers in the 400m event that featured 26 runners. Heide Baron (56.98) was fourth, followed by Carly Bonnet (57.29) in sixth, Ashley Willingham, (57.89) in eighth and Allison Glossinger (58.15) in ninth.
Jalah Morris was third in the shot put, throwing a 12.28m.
At the BU Valentine Invitational …
Gillian Wagner (20th) had the top time in the 3,000m outing for Princeton (9:29.50) while Melia Chittenden secured a 9:29.954 (22nd), which obliterated her previous best by close to 10 seconds. Madison Offstein raced to a 9:29.956, good for 23rd among the 178 competitors.
Allie Klimkiewicz erased six seconds off her top time in the 5,000m, crossing the line at 16:30.06, placing sixth out 62.
The Tigers will host the Princeton Invitational next Saturday (Feb. 16).
