Adam Kelly Named Suburban Transit/GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Adam Kelly was selected as the Suburban Transit/GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week.

It's the third time this season Kelly was picked for the honor (Feb. 26), (Jan. 29). The senior broke the Ivy League record (23.38) in the weight throw at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday. He finished second to North Dakota State's Payton Otterdahl (24.11m).

His throw (76-8.5 feet) topples Cornell's Rudy Winkler (76.6.25 feet) for the best mark in conference history.

Kelly's second place finish is the program's best status in the weight throw at the NCAA Championships since Dave Pellagrini took home the title in 1980. Â
