Tigers Battle Pair of Top-20 Opponents in Texas, Arizona State
March 02, 2019 | Softball
Against Texas, Princeton scored both of its runs in the fifth. A hit batter, a walk and an error plated one run for Princeton, and Hannah Lutz drove in the second run with a base hit.
Against ASU, Princeton took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first thanks to an error that put a runner on for Keeley Walsh to hit her second homer of the weekend, but ASU scored eight in its half of the inning and led the rest of the way. Princeton added another in the fifth on two base hits and a wild pitch, and in the fifth, a walk and an error put two on for Megan Donahey to double home a run before Walsh had her third RBI of the game on a ground ball.
The Tigers will close the weekend with a game against Wisconsin at 12 p.m. ET/10 a.m. MT. Live stats will be available here.
