Men's Tennis Team to Host Penn Saturday as Ivy Season Opens

After 22 pre-Ivy matches and a 16-6 record, the Princeton men's tennis team will open the Ivy League season Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Lenz Tennis Center. Admission is free.

The match opens a four-match homestand that includes all four home Ivy contests, continuing against Dartmouth, Harvard and Columbia through April 12.

Penn comes into the match ranked 48th in the nation and with the ITA's 85th-ranked player in Kyle Mautner. Damian Rodriguez and Ryan Seggerman represent Princeton on the doubles list, ranked 26th. Penn won the teams' last meeting in the Ivy season opener in Philadelphia, and Princeton won the last time the Quakers came to Princeton, in 2017. The Tigers have won the last five meetings betweeen the teams in Princeton since Penn's last win on campus in 2007.

Karl Poling leads the Tigers with an 18-1 dual-match record, and rookie classmate Justin Barki leads the team with a 13-7 record in duals doubles.
