Castellano Named CWPA Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – For the second time this season, Amy Castellano was selected as the Collegiate Water Polo Association Player of the Week, the conference announced today.
Castellano produced six goals and three assists last week as the Tigers went 2-1. The junior scored twice, had two assists and four steals as Princeton defeated No. 25 San Diego State. She later posted four tallies and five steals in a victory over Concordia. It was the seventh 4+ goal performance of the season.
The junior is having a career season, posting 57 goals, 30 assists along with 37 steals and 12 drawn ejections. She has scored in every game except for two and has 17 multi-goal performances. Castellano has produced a .582 shooting percentage which will also be a career-best.
No. 17 Princeton takes on No. 15 Wagner at DeNunzio Pool this Saturday (Mar. 30) beginning at 4 p.m. These two squads faced off once already this season with the Seahawks earning the victory.
