No. 18 Princeton Rallies For 11-10 Thriller Over No. 16 Wagner

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 18 Princeton Tigers earned their sixth victory over a nationally ranked opponent with a thrilling 11-10 victory over the No. 16 Wagner Seahawks on DeNunzio Pool on Saturday afternoon.
Wagner registered the final two goals of the first stanza to take a 4-2 advantage after eight minutes. The Seahawks kept their distance in the second frame, but a tally from Laura Larkin with 17 seconds to go got the Tigers within one, 5-4, at halftime.
Kailie McGeoy tied the contest for the first time since the first quarter to begin the second half. Wagner registered two of the next three tallies to jump back in front, 8-6, but Amy Castellano and Larkin countered, tying the game at 8-all with 95 seconds remaining in the third stanza. Wagner scored 12 seconds after Larkin's tally, taking a 9-8 lead into the final frame.
Maddie Pendolino tied the contest for the fourth time with 6:45 left in the matchup. Eliza Britt, who was honored with Lindsey Kelleher for Senior Day before the game, picked the perfect time for her first goal …
The Tigers improved to 16-7 overall while Wagner dropped to 21-8 this season. Princeton travels to Cambridge, Mass., next weekend (Apr. 6-7) to take on Saint Francis and Michigan.
