Castellano's Career-High Six Goals Pushes Princeton Past Saint Francis, 15-5

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Amy Castellano scored a career-high six goals as the No. 15 Princeton Tigers rolled by the Saint Francis Red Flashes, 15-5, at Blodgett Pool on Saturday afternoon.
Castellano's six tallies are tied for the third most in a single-game in program history and give her 67 on the season. With three more goals, she will become just the 10th player ever to reach 70 goals in a single-season.
Tied at 2-all after eight minutes, Princeton pitched a shutout for over the next 12 minutes of game action, ripping off four straight tallies. The Tigers held a 6-2 advantage before the Red Flashes finally scored again at the 5:17 mark of the third quarter.
Princeton pushed its advantage back to five before taking a 9-5 margin into the final frame. The Tigers put the stamp on a decisive victory with six straight goals in the fourth stanza and held the Red Flashes without a tally for the final 9:25 in a 15-5 victory.
The Tigers registered their second straight win and improve to 17-7 overall and 3-0 in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA). Princeton takes on No. 6 Michigan tomorrow (Apr. 7) at 9 a.m.
