Ault Wins Javelin to Open Miami Invite

Results

Freshman Chandler Ault threw a personal best 67.19 (220-5) to win the javelin to open up Day 1 of the Miami Hurricane Alumni Invitational.

All six of Ault's throws were over 60 meters (60.68, 60.79, 61.15, 61.48, 61.71) before he launched a 67.19 on his final attempt. Ault is seventh on Princeton's top-10 list in the event.

Senior Adam Kelly was the runner-up in the hammer throw with a 69.21 (227-1). He had two countable throws of 66.90 and 69.21 with four fouls.

In the high jump, senior Andrew Diehl was the runner-up clearing 2.05 (6-8.75). He was up over the opening height of 1.95 on his first try and then cleared 2.00 on his first attempt. He reached 2.05 on his third attempt. Sophomore Jeffrey Hollis took fourth with a clearance of 2.00 (6-6.75).

Day 2 begins at 2 p.m., with the men's discus. Princeton will also be competing at the Rider Invitational.
