Britt Picked as CWPA Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Eliza Britt was named the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Player of the Week, the conference announced.
Britt registered hat tricks in back-to-back games, scoring three times each against Brown and No. 18 Bucknell last weekend. The senior captain also added five helpers and two drawn ejections as the Tigers took down Brown, 8-4, and No. 18 Bucknell, 10-5, securing the No. 2 seed in the CWPA Championships.
The senior has produced 39 goals, 29 assists, 23 drawn ejections and 21 steals this season, setting a new career mark in goals. She is two shy of tying her personal-best in assists.
No. 6 Michigan will be the No. 1 seed in next week's CWPA Championships, followed by Princeton, Bucknell, Harvard, Brown, George Washington and Saint Francis. The Tigers will play Saint Francis on Apr. 26 at 1 p.m. The winner of that contest will take on the winner of Bucknell and George Washington on Apr. 27 at 1 p.m.
Princeton remained in the No. 15 spot in the latest CWPA Varsity Poll after wrapping up the regular season at 19-8 overall. The top five in the poll also remained steady with Stanford, USC, UCLA, Calif., and Hawaii.
