No. 15 Princeton Takes Care of Saint Francis, 12-3

PROVIDENCE, R.I – The No. 15 Princeton Tigers took care of the Saint Francis Red Flashes, 12-3, in the first round of the CWPA Championships on Friday afternoon at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
The Tigers pitched a shutout in the first half, taking a 5-0 lead into the intermission. Lindsey Kelleher posted a hat trick with three straight to finish the half.
Saint Francis finally got on the board with a tally at the 2:50 mark of the third stanza. The Tigers quickly answered with the last two goals of the frame, taking a commanding 10-1 advantage into the fourth quarter. Princeton was never threatened.
With the win, the Tigers move on to the CWPA Semifinals to take on the No. 21 Bucknell Bison tomorrow (Apr. 27) at 1 p.m. The winner will advance to the CWPA Championship Game on Sunday (Apr. 28) beginning at 12 p.m.
