Amaechi Named GPT Athlete of the Week

Sophomore Obiageri Amaechi has been named the GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week, presented by Coach USA for the week ending April 7.
Amaechi had a personal best, Princeton record and an Ivy League record in the discus on Saturday at the Sam Howell Invitational, with a throw of 57.22 (187-9).
Amaechi already held both the program and league records after a 56.98 from the USA Junior Championships last summer, a month after she earned All-America honors in her first NCAA Championships. This season she is on par to make the NCAAs again as she is now seventh in the nation in the event.
