Webb Picked As CWPA Defensive Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – For the third time this season, Marissa Webb was honored as the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Defensive Player of the Week.
The sophomore did not allow a goal in 16 minutes of action vs. Saint Francis in the first round of the CWPA Tournament last Friday. She followed that with 13 stops in a decisive 11-5 victory over No. 21 Bucknell. She also nabbed nine saves in the CWPA Championship Game vs. No. 6 Michigan. She was named to the CWPA Championships All-Tournament Second Team.
Early last week, the goalie was selected to the CWPA All-Conference Second Team. She finishes the season with a 15-9 record, 222 saves and a .558 save percentage.
