Men's Lightweight Team Has All Boats Reach Sunday's IRA Grand Finals

SACRAMENTO – The men's lightweight squad had all three boats reach Sunday's Grand Finals after the first day at the IRA National Championships on Friday.
The V8 group won its heat (5:45.60) and will be in lane two for the Grand Final (10:56 a.m. PST, 1:56 p.m. EST) on Sunday. The V4+ team nabbed the second spot (6:34.17) in its preliminary behind Columbia. Its Grand Final is 8:58 a.m., PST (11:58 a.m. EST). The 4- unit placed third in its heat (6:17.69), picking up the final spot in the Grand Final (8:18 a.m., PST, 11:18 a.m., EST).
