Women's Open Rowing Sends All Boats To NCAA Petite Finals

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The women's open rowing team will have two boats race for the opportunity to best its mark from 2018 on Sunday at the NCAA Rowing Championships.
The 2V group secured fifth place in its semifinal (7:05.19), behind Stanford, Michigan, Virginia and Brown. The Tigers race in the Petite Final with Indiana, California, Brown, Yale and Wisconsin at 10:36 a.m.
Princeton's V4 crossed the finish line in fourth place (7:47.85) in its semifinal, trailing Washington, Texas and Michigan. The Tigers battle in the Petite Final at 10:12 a.m. with Brown, Duke, Rutgers, Yale, Indiana and Virginia.
The V8 squad just missed qualifying for the Grand Final, placing fourth in its contest (6:42.15). The Tigers were in second place at the 1,500m mark, but couldn't hold off No. 2 Stanford and No. 7 Ohio State, who took second and third. No. 1 Washington won the event (6:32.93). The Tigers will race in the Petite Final with Yale, Brown, Iowa, Rutgers and Virginia at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
2V placed ninth last year and can surpass that with a first or second place finish tomorrow. No matter where the 4V finishes, it will pass its mark from 2018 (13th). Princeton finished ninth overall in the team standings last year, its 20th Top-10 finish in program history.
