2019-20 Schedule
PRINCETON, N.J. – Filled with eight postseason teams from a season ago, the Princeton Tigers have announced their 2019-20 schedule.
Â
"We're very excited to announce a competitive 2019-20 schedule," said head coach Carla Berube. "Our schedule is strong in non-conference play including a trip to the state of Iowa featuring two NCAA Tournament teams. These non-conference contests will prepare us for the Ivy League, which continues to get better every year."
Â
The 2019-20 season gets underway on Nov. 5 at Jadwin Gym vs. the Rider Broncs. Rider secured a bid to the WNIT last season and has been to the postseason in two of the past three years. The Tigers head on the road to George Washington (Nov. 10) and Seton Hall (Nov. 14) before flying out to the Midwest for games with Iowa State (Nov. 18) and Iowa (Nov. 20). Iowa State reached the Big 12 Championship Game and NCAA Round of 32 while Iowa was the Big Ten Champion and made the Elite Eight.
Â
The Tigers welcome Monmouth to Jadwin on Nov. 24 before St. Francis-Brooklyn (Dec. 1) comes to town to begin the month of December. After a jaunt to Marist (Dec. 7), a squad that reached the MAAC Championship Game, Hartford (Dec. 10) and Penn State (Dec. 14) make the trip to Princeton before the Berube's group gets back on a plane again. The Tigers take on Missouri (Dec. 18) and St. Louis (Dec. 20) on the road. Missouri won a game in the NCAA Tournament last March. The 2019 portion of the schedule concludes with home contest vs. New Hampshire (Dec. 29).
Â
Ivy action starts at Penn on Jan. 11. After a break of almost three weeks, the Tigers head to Dartmouth (Jan. 31) and Harvard (Feb. 1). The first home Ivy weekend features Cornell (Feb. 7) and Columbia (Feb. 8). Princeton defeated Cornell in the Ivy League Tournament Semifinal last season. Berube's unit wraps up the first half of the Ivy circuit at Yale (Feb. 14) and Brown (Feb. 15).
Â
A five-game home stretch opens with Harvard (Feb. 21) and Dartmouth (Feb. 22) before a mid-week tilt vs. Penn (Feb. 25). Brown (Feb. 28) and Yale (Feb. 29) finish February before the final regular season weekend at Columbia (Mar. 6) and Cornell (Mar. 7).
Â
Harvard will host the Ivy League Tournament in March (14-15). The tournaments will continue to feature the top four men's and women's teams competing for the right to represent the Ivy League in the NCAA Basketball Championships. As in previous years, the winners of the regular season will be recognized as Ivy League champions.
Â
For fans, season tickets will go on sale Sept. 16th. Fans can buy season tickets for $79 ($75 in addition to a four-dollar processing fee) while Faculty, Staff and Youth under the age of 12 can purchase season tickets for $49 ($45 in addition to a four-dollar processing fee).
