Walton Takes Runner-Up at Season-Opening Tournament

Senior Maya Walton tied for second at the William & Mary Invitational as the Princeton women's golf team wrapped up its fall-opening tournament at the Kingsmill Resort's River Course in Williamsburg, Va.

Walton finished at +2, tied with Wofford's Becca Earl and one stroke behind medalist Tara Bettle of UNCG, while Princeton finished ninth as a team.

The Tigers will return to competition Sept. 22-23 at the Mary Fossum Invitational hosted by Michigan State.
