A Look Back at Princeton's 13-1 Start

This is the final weekend without Princeton women's basketball until at least the middle of March.
A lot has happened to start the season.

Let's take another look at the early portion of the season …
Ring Season - Nov. 5, 2019
Prior to the season-opener vs. Rider, the team was received its Ivy-League Championship rings from the 2018-19 season.
As for the game itself?
Head coach Carla Berube's squad's offense was outstanding in the third quarter, putting up 27 points on 57.1 percent shooting from the floor. The Tigers ran off 13 of the first 17 points to open up the second half, missing just one shot during that stretch to expand its lead to 18. Rider never threatened after that.

A Thriller In South Orange – Nov. 15, 2019
Following a three-pointer by McKenna Haire that put Princeton back up by double-digits, 77-67, as the frame was halfway through, Seton Hall made another run. A four-point play by Alexis Lewis highlighted the comeback, closing the gap to one, 77-76, with 43 seconds remaining.
After a turnover by Princeton, the Pirates missed a layup on their end, but got the offensive rebound and called timeout. The home squad was called for a travel after the stoppage and was forced to foul. Maggie Connolly hit one-of-two free throws before the three-pointer at the buzzer was off.
The win gave the Tigers their third straight win to start the season and handed Seton Hall its first loss of the year.

SportsCenter Top 10 Play – Nov. 20, 2019
Trailing by three (67-64) with eight-tenths of a second left, the Tigers called timeout and drew up a play. Julia Cunningham, from way beyond the arc, got the ball and heaved it towards the basket and knocked it in.
The Tigers, unfortunately, fell in overtime to Iowa, 77-75, but Cunningham's shot ended up as the No. 8 play on SportsCenter's Top-10 Plays that night.
Nationally Ranked! – Dec. 26, 2019
For the first time since Nov. 20, 2015, the Tigers were ranked in a national poll, coming in at No. 25 in the USA Today/WBCA Coaches' Poll. The Tigers were receiving votes in the poll for five weeks before finally getting into the poll. Princeton also earned votes in the AP Top-25 this week for the first time.
Nationally Ranked … No. 2 – Jan. 6, 2020
The Tigers cracked the AP Top-25 poll for the first time in five years, jumping to No. 25. It's was the first time that Princeton is ranked in both the Coaches' Poll (24th) and AP Poll since March of 2015 during the 30-0 regular season.
Starting the Ivies Off Right - Jan. 11, 2020
The Tigers disposed the Penn Quakers at the Palestra to begin Ivy action, 75-55. In front by three at the intermission, the Tigers roared out to a 17-point lead during that third quarter run before leading by 12 into the fourth frame. Another 17-8 sprint to begin the final 10 minutes put the game out of reach for Princeton as it took home its first Ivy victory of the season.
The Tigers' senior captains, Bella Alarie and Taylor Baur, combined for 40 points and 24 rebounds as they each had a double-double. Alarie's 25 points and 11 caroms give her 38 career double-doubles. She has collected a double-double in 41 percent of her career contests. Baur's 15 points are a career-high while her 13 boards match her personal-best.
