Men’s Swimming & Diving to Host Harvard and Yale

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's swimming & diving team returns to DeNunzio Pool this weekend when it hosts Harvard University and Yale University in one of the most anticipated meets of the season.
The Tigers will host the Crimson and Bulldogs beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, January 31 then on Saturday, February 1 beginning at 12 p.m.
Meet Schedule
Session 1: Friday (6 p.m.)
1-meter diving (running concurrently w/ swimming)
200 freestyle relay
200 freestyle
100 backstroke
100 breaststroke
200 butterfly
50 freestyle
200 IM
1650 Free (one heat only; early heats are before meet)
400 medley relay
Session 2: Saturday (12 p.m.)
3-meter diving (running concurrently w/ swimming)
200 medley relay
400 IM
100 freestyle
200 backstroke
100 butterfly
500 freestyle
200 breaststroke
400 freestyle relay
Tiger Notes
Princeton is 6-1 in dual meets and 4-0 in Ivy League meets. Most recently, the Tigers defeated Villanova University 226-74 on Friday, January 10 inside DeNunzio Pool.
While the Tiger men did not swim against Columbia University on Saturday, January 25, Princeton's divers competed and Colten Young broke a 14-year old record on platform. His winning score of 392.85 topped Kent de Mond's previous record of 385.65.
Princeton was also honored as a College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) Scholar All-America team for the fall 2019 semester after earning a 3.291 GPA.
Scouting Harvard
The Crimson is undefeated in Ivy dual meets this season, most recently defeating the University of Pennsylvania 187-113 on Saturday, January 18 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
In 2018-19, Harvard finished in first place at the Ivy League Championships after earning 1,432.50 points.
Scouting Yale
Yale has a 6-1 record in 2019-20 and a 3-1 record in Ivy League duals. In their most recent meet, the Bulldogs overcame Cornell University 186-114 on Saturday, January 18 in New Haven, Connecticut.
Last season Yale finished fifth in the Ivy League, tallying 1035.5 points at the Ivy League Championships.
