Llewellyn Honored as Ivy Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

IVY LEAGUE RELEASE
PRINCETON, N.J. – After helping the Princeton University men's basketball team start Ivy League play off with a 78-64 victory over the University of Pennsylvania last Saturday night, sophomore Jaelin Llewellyn was honored as the Ivy League Player of the Week Monday afternoon.
In the Tigers' win over the Quakers inside the Palestra, Llewellyn posted a double-double with 18 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field and 6-of-7 shooting from the free throw line along with a career-high 14 rebounds.
On the season, Llewellyn is averaging 15.8 points per game which leads the team and ranks sixth in the conference along with 2.8 assists per game, which is tied for the team-high. His 4.3 rebounds per game also rank second on the team.
This is the third Ivy League weekly honor for the Tigers this season as senior Richmond Aririguzoh was named Player of the Week and freshman Ryan Langborg Rookie of the Week on Monday, December 16.
Llewellyn and the Tigers will be in action next on Friday, January 10 at 5 p.m. when they host Penn inside Jadwin Gymnasium in a contest with the be broadcast on ESPNU.
