Baylis Named NJAIAW Princeton Woman of the Year

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Athletics Department has selected Grace Baylis as its recipient of the New Jersey Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (NJAIAW) Woman of the Year.Â

This prestigious award is given to a female collegiate student-athlete for her outstanding achievements in athletics, academics, leadership and service.

Each year, the NJAIAW hosts the Woman of the Year Luncheon in celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day. This special event recognizes the outstanding achievements of our female collegiate athletes. The event will be held at Seton Hall University in the Richie Regan Recreation Center on Sunday, February 9th, 2020 and will begin at 11:00 am with a light lunch being served.

Baylis, a goalkeeper and captain of the Tigers, earned All-Ivy Honorable Mention the last three years. She is an exceptional student who serves on the Executive Leadership Team of the Student-Athlete Wellness Leadership program. She had devoted countless hours to improving the lives of her fellow student-athletes through mental health initiatives and support. The Department of Athletics is tremendously proud of Grace and extremely grateful for all she has achieved.

Baylis started 80 games during her four years at Princeton, earning a 53-25 record and 17 shutouts. A three-time All-Ivy selection, the senior captain was part of two Ivy titles, three Final Fours and a berth in the 2019 National Championship game.
