'50 Years' Alumna Spotlight: Kat Sharkey '13

In Her Career …
After Princeton
- Led the Tigers to the 2012 National Championship over No. 1 North Carolina, the program's first ever national title.
- A two-time NCAA leading goal scorer, capturing 38 goals as senior and 33 tallies as a junior. When she graduated, was seventh all-time in NCAA history in points per game (3.13), total goals (107), points (245) and eighth in goals per game (1.37).
- Sits as Princeton's all-time leader in goals (107) and points (245), 47 points in front of second place and 36 goals ahead of second. Also has the most goals in a single game with six vs. Richmond in 2010 and recorded 10 hat tricks in her career.
- One of only five players (all Princeton players) to be named First-Team All-Ivy four times. Graduated as a four-time All-American, three-time first-team All-American and won the C. Otto von Kienbusch Award in 2013.
After Princeton
- A member of the United States National Team for almost nine years, having recently retired from international competition in January of 2020.
- Earned 176 caps with United States, securing six medals including a bronze medal at the Pan American Games in the summer of 2019. Also helped the U.S. to fifth place at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
- Working at ADP in New York in payroll and Human Resources.
