Ellis of Men’s Track & Field Named GPT Athlete of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – After breaking a 29-year old school record in the indoor mile Saturday at the Valentine Invitational, Sam Ellis of the Princeton University men's track & field team was named GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week, Presented by Coach USA.
Competing at the Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University on Saturday, February 15, Ellis clocked in at 3:57.66 seconds to set a new school record, breaking the previous record of 3:58.70 seconds set by Bill Burke in 1991. Ellis also finished second overall, besting his previous PR of 4:02.93 seconds set at the Valentine Invite in 2019.
Ellis and the Tigers will be in action next on Sunday, February 23 inside Jadwin Gymnasium at the Princeton Invite.
