No. 6 Princeton Opens Final Regular-Season Weekend With Win Over Brown
February 21, 2020 | Women's Ice Hockey
With the win, Princeton firmed up its No. 2 seed for the ECAC Tournament, and with other results around the league, Princeton's list of possible first-round opponents coming to Baker Rink next week was trimmed to Colgate or Quinnipiac.Â
The Tigers will host Yale Saturday at 3 p.m. to close the regular season and will recognize its senior class before and after the game.
Princeton opened the scoring against Brown when Sylvie Wallin started the scoring for the seniors, firing one in the slot with less than seven minutes before the first ice cut.

Bullock's hat trick was her first since a four-goal game against Yale at Baker on Oct. 26, 2018 and the third of her Tiger career. She also had one Jan. 14, 2017 at Colgate. The three goals jumped her from seventh to a tie for fifth in program history with 89 career goals as the program's top goal scorer of the 21st century. With four points on the night, including an assist, Bullock moved into a tie for ninth in program history with 147 points.
Classmate Stephanie Neatby became the fifth Tiger netminder in program history to reach 40 wins, pulling her one short of Roxanne Gaudiel '06 for a tie for fourth-most all-time. Fellow senior Claire Thompson had three helpers for her first three-assist game since getting three against Dartmouth on Jan. 6, 2017.Â
With the win, Princeton made it 21 victories on the season, tying the team with Gaudiel's senior-year team from 2005-06 for the second-most in program history. Saturday, Princeton can tie the 2015-16 team for the program record with 22 wins.
