The Tigers already know the first round of the ECACÂ playoffs will be coming to Baker Rink, with Princeton currently in second and a top-four spot clinched. Princeton's opponent for the Feb. 28, Feb. 29 and, if necessarily, March 1 game will be decided over the next two games, and it could be any one of Clarkson, Yale, Quinnipiac, Colgate or St. Lawrence. Tickets for the games are available here.
Princeton can tie its program wins record with a sweep this weekend. Already the seventh season with at least 20 wins, two more would tie this year's team with the 2015-16 team at a program-record 22 wins.
Princeton will look to repeat the result of its trip to Yale and Brown Jan. 31 and Feb. 1. Carly Bullock had a big weekend, getting two goals in each game including both goals in the 2-1 win over Yale. Cassie Reale had the win at Brown, giving up a goal and making 18 saves, and Stephanie Neatby had the win at Yale, giving up a goal and making 19 saves.
Princeton has won 19 straight over Brown with the Bears' last win coming in Baker Rink on Feb. 19, 2010. Princeton has won the last five over Yale with the Bulldogs' last win coming Feb. 3, 2017 at Baker.
Entering the week, Princeton ranked sixth in the nation in goals per game at 3.62, sixth in power play percentage at .204, and ninth on the penalty kill at .880. Sarah Fillier ranked third in the nation in assists per game at 1.13 and points per game at 1.79, and Princeton had three players in the top 10 in the nation in goals per game with Carly Bullock third at 0.81, Maggie Connors seventh at 0.69, and Fillier ninth at 0.67.
The weekend is the final regular-season series for Princeton's senior class of Bullock, Mackenzie Ebel, Neatby, Claire Thompson and Sylvie Wallin. The class has helped the program to 74 overall victories in their four seasons, three 20-win seasons, 55 wins in ECAC play, three home ECAC tournament first round series, two ECAC semifinals appearances, the 2019 Ivy League championship, and the 2019 NCAA tournament.
