Bullock Earns ECAC Player of the Week, NCAA Star of the Week Honors
February 03, 2020 | Women's Ice Hockey
For the second time in less than a month, Carly Bullock has been named the ECACÂ Hockey League Player of the Week and an NCAA Star of the Week.
Bullock had two points in each of sixth-ranked Princeton's three games on the week, including assists on the last two goals in a 3-2 win over Quinnipiac last Tuesday, both goals in a 2-1 win over Yale Friday, and two of the four goals in a 4-1 win over Brown Saturday.
The wins helped deliver Princeton six points in the ECAC standings and put the Tigers in second place in the league at 25 points, two points ahead of third-place Harvard and three in front of Clarkson for the final first-round home-ice spot for the ECAC playoffs with six games to go. Princeton stands four points back of leader Cornell for the ECAC regular-season title and the chance to host the ECACÂ semis and finals, which will be at the highest-remaining seed.
The team's leading goal scorer, with 18 on the season, Bullock was also named ECAC Player of the Week on Jan. 13. She stands at 83 career goals, seventh in program history, and 138 career points, four points out of the program's all-time top 10 in that category.
For the first time in two months, ECACÂ play will return to Baker Rink this weekend as the Tigers host RPI Friday night at 6 and Union Saturday at 3. All regular-season games are free admission.
