PRINCETON, N.J. – Princeton University women's volleyball head coach Sabrina King announced the addition of Tim Favreau to her staff as an assistant coach Wednesday afternoon.
"We are extremely fortunate to have Tim join our staff and Princeton Volleyball family," said King. "He comes highly recommended as an up and coming coach, who understands the unique balance of student-athletes at Princeton. Tim will hit the ground running with spring training and recruiting, and we are excited to integrate his perspective into our team culture."
Favreau joins the Tiger family from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where he spent the previous two seasons as an assistant coach.
"I am thrilled to be joining the Princeton Volleyball family," said Favreau. "Sabrina has created an obvious culture of excellence here and I couldn't be more excited to help build on that legacy in the coming years. I want to thank Sabrina and the entire Princeton Athletic Department for this incredible opportunity to be a part of such a successful and prestigious program."
Before his time with the Retrievers, Favreau was a volunteer assistant coach at Duke University and an assistant coach for the Triangle Volleyball Club 18's team.
Prior to joining the Blue Devils, Favreau was head coach with the Sunshine Volleyball Club from 2013-17, coaching players at the U18, U17, U16 and U13 levels. From 2014-16, Favreau was also an assistant varsity coach and head freshmen volleyball coach at Marymount High School in Los Angeles, California.
Prior to his coaching career, Favreau was a member of UCLA's men's club volleyball team while pursuing his undergraduate degree in political science. Favreau was also the starting setter for Servite High School's 2012 squad that finished the season ranked fifth in the nation according to ESPN.
