No. 17 Women’s Tennis Downs ASU at ITA National Indoors, 4-0

CHICAGO – The No. 17 Princeton University women's tennis team earned an impressive 4-0 victory over Arizona State University Saturday morning in its second match at the Intercollegiate Association (ITA) National Indoor Championships inside the XS Tennis Village.
The win moved Princeton to 4-1 on the season and was its third victory over a power-five opponent.
Doubles
Princeton succeeded in winning the doubles point; No. 47 Grace Joyce and Daria Frayman overcame Ilze Hattingh and Tereza Kolarova 6-4 at No. 1 then at the No. 3 position Brianna Shvets and Nathalie Rodilosso overcame Sasa Klanecek and Sammi Hampton, 6-1.
Singles
No. 34 Shvets quickly picked up a win for Princeton at No. 1, defeating Hattingh 6-2, 6-0. Grace Joyce then earned a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Lauryn John-Baptiste at No. 4 then Clare McKee outlasted Savannah Slaysman 6-3, 6-5 at the No. 6 position.
