Bemelmans and Davidson Named Scholars of Distinction

PRINCETON, N.J. - Ophélie Bemelmans and Sam Davidson were named 2019 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction, the organization announced today.

The Division I Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2019-20 academic year.

Bemelmans played in 11 games for the Tigers in 2019, adding an assist. Davison saw action in six contests.

The Tigers went 16-5 overall in 2019. During the season, the Tigers registered a 13-game winning streak which was the program's second longest streak ever. Princeton went on to win the Ivy League title and reach the National Championship Game for the fourth time ever.
