Incoming Wrestler Clark Named Regional Schultz Excellence Award Honoree

A week after earning the National Wrestling Hall of Fame's Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award honor for New Jersey, incoming freshman Anthony Clark has advanced to the award's next stage and has been named the Northeast regional award winner.
Clark is part of the recently announced Class of 2024.
Having advanced to the next stage of the Schultz Award, Clark is one of five regional honorees eligible for the national award, which will be announced May 28. The Northeast region covers Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont.
Clark, who is finishing up his senior year at Delbarton School and is from East Hanover, N.J., capped his high school career in March with his third NJSIAA state title, this time at 138 pounds. He won the title at 106 in 2017 and 113 in 2018 before making the 120 final in 2019. He had a 140-10 record in his Delbarton career and was named NJ.com's New Jersey Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Year.

Off the mat, Clark was a member of the I.T. Club, the Stock Exchange Club and the E.P.O.C.H. club, helping developmentally disabled children at a local YMCA. Clark volunteers at the Oasis Center and for the Autism Awareness Organization while also assisting at Belleville Fire Department functions.
