Princeton will officially cross the midpoint of the 2021 Ivy League men's soccer season on Saturday, taking on Harvard in Cambridge. Kickoff with the Crimson is set for 4 p.m.
The Tigers enter the weekend alone in first place in the Ivy League with nine points -- Princeton's first 3-0-0 start to Ivy play since 2010 when the Tigers went 7-0-0 in the Ancient Eight. Yale is two points behind in second with a 2-0-1 Ivy record, while Cornell is 2-1-0 to sit third. Harvard's 0-1-2 record gives them twi points and a sixth-place standing.
Saturday will mark the 95h meeting all-time in a closely contested series between the two schools. Princeton owns a 44-41-9 lead in the all-time series, while the teams are an even 20-20-7 when playing in Cambridge. Princeton has won the last two meetings and is 4-1-1 against Harvard since 2014.
The Tigers rank No. 12 in the nation in shots-per-game (16.2) and No. 17 in shots on goal-per-game (7.1). On the flip side, Princeton is allowing only 8.2 shots-per-match and 3.3 shots on goal-per-game.
Jack Roberts has four shutouts in goal, Princeton has five as a team. Roberts' 0.941 GAA is tops in the Ivy League.
Kevin O'Toole leads the Ivy League in goals (3) and points (9) accumulated during Ivy matches. Overall, his 13 points on four goals and five assists are a new career high.
The Tigers have spread around their offense, with 12 different players scoring a goal. Seven different players have scored a game-winning goal for Princeton this year.
