Malik Pinto Named Ivy League Player & Rookie Of The Week

Sophomore Malik Pinto made a big splash in his Ivy League debut, scoring twice as Princeton knocked off Dartmouth to claim an important three points in the first weekend of Ivy competition.
Pinto's two goals in the Tigers' 3-2 win in double overtime in Hanover, securing both Ivy League Player and Rookie of the Week honors for his efforts.
Pinto's first career goal came in the 51st minute, giving Princeton a 2-0 lead at the time. Following a Big Green rally to tie the game, Pinto dialed up more heroics in the second overtime period with the game-winner in the 102nd minute.
The win was the first for the Tigers over Dartmouth since 2013, and sends Princeton off to a winning start in Ivy play for the first time since that season.
