Princeton Nationally Ranked In Three Polls As Prep Turns To Dartmouth

The 16th-ranked Tigers led start to finish against a Big Red team that wouldn't go quietly in what ended up as a 34-16 Princeton win, the seventh straight to start the season. If that sounds familiar, it should be, since this marks the third straight season where the Tigers have gone 7-0 out of the gate. How rare is that? The last time it happened for the Tigers was in 1901, 1902 and 1903.

1: Princeton is the only team in the NCAA FCS who ranks in the top 10 in scoring offense (36.0) and scoring defense (15.6). The Tigers have scored 30 or more five times and have not allowed more than 16 points in five contests this season.

3: Princeton has been ranked in three national polls for a few weeks now. The Tigers are up to No. 16 in the FCS AFCA Coaches', No. 19 in the Athlon Sports FCS and tied for No. 20 in the STATS Perform FCS polls.

10: James Johnson has steadily improved his tackle total in each of the last three games, highlighted by a 10-tackle performance vs. Cornell on Friday. After posting 12 combined tackles in his first three games, the senior captain has corralled 24 in his last three outings.
