Moving On! Tigers Advance to NCAA Second Round, Defeat Vermont 2-0
November 12, 2021 | Women's Soccer
Princeton will face TCU, ranked No. 8 in the country and seeded fourth in Princeton's quadrant of the bracket, next Friday. Rutgers, the top seed in the quadrant, hosts Bucknell on Sunday at 1 p.m. and will host the next two rounds with a first-round win.
Gee opened the scoring by bodying in a ball that came to the doorstep of the goal from a Heather MacNab crossing pass and then met the head of Alexis Hiltunen, coming down for Gee to finish the play on the goal line.

The goals lifted the senior Gee into a tie for the team lead with eight goals and 21 points with classmate Gabi Juarez. Fellow senior Grace Barbara made three saves to get the shutout in goal, Princeton's sixth in a row and Barbara's fifth in her last five starts.Â
Princeton's shutout streak stands at 577:42, its longest since a streak during the 2009 season that ran 621:09. The shutout was Princeton's 11th of the season, the fifth-most in a season in program history and the third time in the last four competitive seasons that Princeton has had at least that many shutouts.
