Five From Women’s Volleyball Earn All-Ivy Honors

IVY LEAGUE RELEASE
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League announced its postseason honors for women's volleyball Thursday afternoon, and five members of the Princeton University women's volleyball team received awards.
Juniors Elena Montgomery and Avery Luoma were named First Team All-Ivy League, while senior Julia Schner and junior Lindsey Kelly garnered Second Team All-Ivy League honors. Junior Cameron Dames was named Honorable Mention All-Ivy League, and Schner was also named Academic All-Ivy League.
Named Ivy League Player of the Week on Monday, September 13, and to the Ellis Rowland Memorial All-Tournament Team, Montgomery led the Ivy League in kills per set with 3.94 and finished second in points per set with 4.26. She also finished third on the team in digs per set with 2.59, and recorded eight double-doubles on the season.
Luoma finished seventh in the conference in kills per set (3.09) and eighth in hitting percentage (.316). Accumulating 241 total kills, she also finished third on the team in blocks per set (0.86), and fourth on the team in digs per set (1.83), with 64 total blocks and 143 total digs.
Honored as the Ivy League Player of the Week on Monday, October 4, Schner led the Ivy League in blocks per set (1.19) and total blocks (93), and also finished seventh in the conference in hitting percentage (.321). Schner averaged 2.03 kills per set, and accumulated 158 kills on the season. A Psychology major, she earned a 3.64 GPA.
Kelly, who was named to the Ellis Rowland Memorial All-Tournament Team, ranked fifth in the nation and led the Ivy League in assists pet set with 11.44, while her 892 total assists were also a conference-best. Kelly tied for the team-high in service aces with 21, and finished second on the team in digs per set (3.37) and total digs (263).
Dames, who recorded the 1,000th dig of her career in the Tigers' match against the University of Pennsylvania on October 22, finished second in the conference in digs per set, with 4.73. Dames' 86 assists and 1.10 assists per set also ranked second on the team. This is the third All-Ivy honor of Dames' career, as she was named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year and to the Second Team All-Ivy League in 2019.
