Princeton Heavies Announce 2022 Schedule

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton men's heavyweight rowing team has released its 2022 schedule, head coach Greg Hughes has announced.
"After two years of little or no spring racing, our team is very excited to see our schedule return more to normal," said Hughes. "And, its packed! We will have the chance to test ourselves against the best programs in the country as we work our way through our regular season cup races. What's more, we will road warriors this year, with four our regular season races taking place on the road. The competition will be fierce every weekend and we're training hard in preparation!"
Princeton begins the 2022 season at Georgetown on Mar. 26. The Tigers follow that with a trip to Navy the week after (Apr. 2).
Ivy action gets underway with a road trip to take on Columbia and Penn for the Childs Cup on Apr. 9. The Tigers have won the last 10 Childs Cups dating back to 2010. Princeton also heads to Harvard one week later (Apr. 16) for the Compton Cup. Hughes' squad is on the road for the Carnegie Cup (Apr. 23) against Cornell and Yale. Brown comes to Lake Carnegie (Apr. 30) for the Content Cup, something the Tigers have won five of the last six races against the Bears.
The Eastern Sprints are on May 15 with the IRA Championships following from June 3-5.
Princeton raced an abbreviated schedule in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic earning victories over St. Joe's, Drexel, Holy Cross and Navy before playing eighth in the IRA Championships.
