Men's Lightweight Rowing Team Drops Temple
April 24, 2021 | Men's Rowing - Lightweight
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Princeton men's lightweight team easily disposed of the Temple Owls in the 1V and 2V events this afternoon on the Schuylkill River.
The 2V boat crossed the finish line at 6:25.1 while the Owls raced to a 6:52.5. The 1V boat scampered across at 6:25.1, almost 20 seconds ahead.
Yes, both boats had the same exact time.
"I was super happy for the eight seniors who raced today," said head coach Marty Crotty. "Despite only getting back in the eight last week, they showed some flashes of what the last two seasons have been like. It's a very mature and talented group that I've enjoyed working with every day."
It was the first race for Princeton since June of 2019 at the IRA National Championships. The Tigers had won back-to-back silver medals at IRAs.
