Men's Lightweight Rowing Ready For IRA National Championships
May 27, 2021 | Men's Rowing - Lightweight
WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – The Princeton men's lightweight team will race in the 2021 IRA National Championships on Friday at Mercer Lake.
"We've had a great IRA training camp," said head coach Marty Crotty. "It's been amazing to see how the leadership and focus on the senior class has rubbed off on the younger guys and both crews are ready to empty the tank on Friday morning."
The Tigers will race in the V8 event at 10:20 a.m., while the 2V8 gets going at 10 a.m. You can view the races on the IRA Rowing Youtube Channel. No fans are allowed at the events.
The men's lightweight crew has had great success at the IRA Championships, securing back-to-back silver medals in 2018-19. The V8 has not finished lower than sixth since 2007. Princeton has won five national championships since the national championships moved to IRAs in 1990.
