Francis '74, USGA President, to Earn Induction to Ohio Golf Hall of Fame

J. Stuart Francis '74, Princeton alum and USGA President, will add the honor of Ohio Golf Hall of Fame inductee, the Ohio Golf Association has announced.

Francis, who grew up in Madison, Ohio, northeast of Cleveland, was an All-America and All-Ivy honoree who helped his team win two Ivy League championships while at Princeton. He was elected USGA President in February 2020.

Francis is a senior managing director for Evercore, a global investment banking advisory firm, and was part of a group of donors that in 2013 endowed the men's golf head coaching position, now held by Will Green as the J. Stuart Francis Head Coach of Men's Golf.

The Ohio Golf Hall of Fame inducted its inaugural class in 1992, and Francis will stand alongside some of the legends of the game with his induction, a list of names that includes Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Pete Dye, Bob Hope and more than 100 other inductees.

The 2021 Ohio Golf Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held at Plum Brook Country Club in Sandusky, Ohio, on Monday, August 2.
