EWING, N.J. – The Princeton University women's track & field team competed at the College of New Jersey Last Chance Meet Thursday inside the TCNJ Track & Field Complex, on a day that saw Tia Rozario continue her outstanding spring.
"We only had a handful of women compete at the TCNJ meet but they definitely made a statement," said Head Coach Michelle Eisenreich. "Leading the way was sophomore Tia Rozario who broke the Singapore National record and qualified for the NCAA first round. It is so much fun watching her train and compete. Her focus and intensity is inspiring and I am so happy to see her hard work pay off. She along with a talented and driven group of young athletes are poise to propel our program to the top of the Ivy League!"
A mark of 12.54 meters in the triple jump saw Rozario win the event, re-set her Singapore national record and move up to No. 3 all-time on Princeton's outdoor triple jump list. She bested her previous PR of 11.95 meters, which was ranked No. 9 all-time in school history and was set at the Princeton Invitational on Sunday, April 24, 2021.
Kate Joyce won the javelin thanks to a throw of 50.13 meters. Isabella Hilditch finished first in the 100 hurdles in a time of 13.82, just shy of her PR of 13.81 from the University of North Florida in 2019, which ranks No. 4 on Princeton's all-time list. Kara Steele also competed in the triple jump, finishing third after a jump of 12.12 meters.
