Open Rowing Collects Win Over Temple Sunday

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers swept the Temple Owls on Lake Carnegie on Sunday afternoon.

The Tigers began racing vs. Temple with the V4 earning an almost nine second win. The 2V was next, picking up a 3.5-second conquest before 1V won by 18.4 seconds.

Earlier in the day, the No. 4 Rutgers Scarlet Knights collected wins in the V8, 2V8 and V4 races at Mercer Lake.

The Tigers dropped a close contest in the V8, crossing the finish line just 3.7 seconds behind the Scarlet Knights. Princeton's 2V placed third. Head coach Lori Dauphiny's squad in the V4 lost a heartbreaker by eight-tenths of a second to Rutgers, posting a time of 7:24.2.
