June 29, 2021 | Women's Ice Hockey
With the ninth overall pick in the 2021 National Women's Hockey League draft, Annie MacDonald heard her name called by fellow alumna Kelsey Koelzer '17 as a draftee of the Toronto Six.
In her three seasons of competition with the Tigers, MacDonald played in 93 games while helping Princeton to a pair of NCAA tournament berths and the 2020 ECAC tournament title. MacDonald finished with 43 career points on 10 goals and 33 helpers.
MacDonald joins Karlie Lund '19 (2018, Minnesota Whitecaps), Koelzer (2016, New York Riveters) and Kim Newell '16 (2015, New York Riveters) as NWHL draftees out of Princeton. Rose Alleva '14 is a current member of the Minnesota Whitecaps.
