George '18 Named To Great Britain's Olympic Rowing Team

PRINCETON, N.J. – Tom George '18 will represent Great Britain at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games this summer, the British Olympic Association announced today.
He will join Hannah Scott '21 of the open rowing team on the squad. George will be on the men's eight, making his first Olympic appearance.
"I'm thrilled to see Tom finally realize his dream of racing in the Olympics," said Princeton head coach Greg Hughes. "It has been a wild and challenging last 16 months and through it all, Tom has stayed focus on task to get to this point. I can't wait to watch him line up next month in Tokyo. Congratulations and Go Tom!"
On the international stage, George has won six medals with the eight, highlighted by a gold and two silvers at the Rowing World Cup.
At Princeton, George helped the varsity eight to three medals at Eastern Sprints, led by a silver in 2016. He also helped the eight to four top five finishes at IRAs including in a bronze in 2016.
