Smith's Stellar Year Continues For Dust Devils

Here's an update on the former Tigers and how they're doing in their minor league seasons ...
Ryan Smith – Tri-City Dust Devils – High A – Smith collected the win for the Dust Devils last night, striking out four in seven innings, allowing just two hits. In nine games combined between Low A and High A, the former Tiger has produced a 1.74 ERA with 72 punch outs in 51 2/3 innings.
James Proctor – Daytona Tortugas – Low A –Proctor allowed no earned runs in five frames with seven strikeouts vs. the Clearwater Threshers on Sunday. He was recently put on the seven-day disabled list. In 10 games for Daytona, Proctor has a 1.43 ERA in 37 2/3 innings with 51 strikeouts.
Jake Boone – Fredericksburg Nationals – Low A – Boone has 12 hits for the Nationals, adding five RBI and two stolen bases
Alec Keller – Rochester Red Wings – AAA – Keller was put on the seven-day disabled list on June 22nd. Prior to that, he had two straight multi-hit games, raising his batting average to .311. For the season, he has contributed a .311/.395/.432 slash line in 27 games.
Mike Ford – Durham Bulls – AAA – Ford was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays on June 17th. In eight games with Durham, the former Ivy Player of the Year has a .732 OPS with two home runs.
