Nicole Bunyan '15 and Olivia Fiechter '18 competed at the Professional Squash Association World Championship in Chicago, which began July 14.
Fiechter, seeded 17th, advanced to the round of 16, defeating France's Enora Villard 3-0 (11-6, 11-1, 11-2) in the opening round before rallying past Belgium's 14th-seeded Tinne Gilis 3-1 (9-11, 11-8, 11-9, 13-11) in the second round. Fiechter met top-seeded Nour El Sherbini of Egypt in the round of 16, with El Sherbini winning 3-0 (11-4, 14-12, 11-7).
Bunyan fell in the first round to Belgium's 13th-seeded Nele Gilis 3-0 (11-3, 11-2, 11-4).
Bunyan earned three All-America honors during her Princeton career, and Fiechter was a four-time All-America honoree. Fiechter was a four-time All-Ivy honoree and the 2015 Ivy Rookie of the Year, and Bunyan was a 2015 All-Ivy honoree.
