July 16, 2021 | Women's Volleyball
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's volleyball team will look to defend its 2019 Ivy League Championship this upcoming season, as Head Coach Sabrina King announced the team's 2021 schedule Friday morning.
"We cannot wait to be back competing against some great teams this fall," said King. "In addition to our usual competitive Ivy League schedule, we have a couple fun rival matches including Towson and Colgate -- who are traditionally top of their leagues and always give us a great match up. Villanova and Temple are tough local cross-town games, and we look forward to playing HBCU Morgan State for the first time in several years. Our eight preseason matches should really prepare us for the always exciting Ivy play.
The Tigers open their season at the Towson University Tournament on Friday, September 3, and Saturday, September 4, with matches against Loyola University Maryland, Morgan State University, and Towson University. Towson has played in the two most recent NCAA Tournaments.
Princeton will then head to Hamilton, New York, for the Colgate University Tournament on Friday, September 10, and Saturday, September 11, where it will take on Cleveland State University, Colgate, and Hofstra University.
The Tigers will then wrap up their non-conference slate with a pair of matches at Temple University, taking on Villanova University on Friday, September 17, and Temple on Saturday, September 18.
