Koven Races To Final As Tigers Get Underway At U-23 World Rowing Championships

RACICE, Czech Republic – The Princeton women's crew team has had four members race at the U-23 World Rowing Championships this week.
Lucy Koven '24 (United States 2-) and her teammate Caitlin Esse dominated their repechage (7:33.24), crossing the finish line over six seconds ahead of second place France to advance to 2- Final on July 10th at 10 a.m.
Anne du Croo Jongh's '25 (Netherlands 4-) four was third in its heat (7:09.77) and will take part in a repechage on July 9th at 3:30 a.m. The four needs to be in the top two to move onto the final.
Katherine George '25 (Great Britain 2x) and her teammate Zoe Adamson (7:11.44) were second in its heat to the Netherlands (7:08.51) and will take part in the A or B semifinal on July 10th at either 5:18 or 5:25 a.m.
Greta Jaanson '24 (Estonia 1x) secured fourth in her heat and will race in a repechage on July 9th at 5:15 a.m. If she finishes first or second, she will qualify for the semifinals.
"We're very excited for Lucy and the rest of the Princeton Tigers at the U-23 World Rowing Championships," said Princeton head coach Lori Dauphiny. "We can't wait to see how they finish!"
