Samantha Gudger Joins Track & Field/XC Coaching Staff

PRINCETON, N.J. – Samantha Gudger has joined the coaching staffs of the Princeton University men's & women's track & field and cross country teams, serving as Director of Operations.
"I'm very excited for this opportunity and to be a part of such a wonderful university and program," said Gudger. "Everyone has made me feel so welcome and part of the Princeton family. I can't wait to see what we accomplish together!"
Previously, Gudger served as the Director of Track & Field Operations at Carson Newman University, where she assisted in coaching the jumps group along with handling Director of Operations duties. With Gudger on staff, Carson Newman's men finished 16th in the nation during the 2021 indoor season. One of her student-athletes was Nathalie Schumacher, who at one point held the highest mark in all of NCAA Division II women's high jump and won three event titles in the 2021 indoor season.
As a student-athlete at Carson Newman, she earned USTFCCCA Southeast All-Region honors four times and won the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) women's outdoor long jump title in 2018 with a leap of 5.70 meters. She holds indivudal program records in the 60 hurdles, 100 hurdles and the long jump and is part of the 4x400 relay team that owns the school record.
A USTFCCCA Academic All-American, Gudger earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Education from Carson Newman.
