Montgomery Named Ivy Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week

IVY LEAGUE RELEASE
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League announced its weekly awards Monday afternoon, and junior Elena Montgomery of the Princeton University volleyball team was named Ivy League Player of the Week.
Along with being Named Ivy League Player of the Week, Montgomery was also named to the Ellis Rowland Memorial All-Tournament Team, where she helped the Tigers earn a perfect 3-0 record.
In Princeton's victories over Cleveland State University and Colgate University on Friday, September 10, along with its triumph over Hofstra University on Saturday, September 11, Montgomery combined with 52 kills, 30 digs, and four blocks.
The Tigers' opening match against Cleveland State, Montgomery added 13 kills and 10 digs, she then followed with 20 kills and 11 digs against Colgate. Against Hofstra, Montgomery added 19 kills on a .447 hitting percentage and nine digs.
