Women’s Track and Field Concludes Competition at Wesley Brown Invitational

ANNAPOLIS, MD. – The Princeton University women's track and field team had a successful day of competition at the Wesley Brown Invitational, hosted by the Naval Academy.
Hanne Borstlap took first place in the pole vault, leaping a distance of 3.95 meters. She increased her lead over the rest of the league by 15 centimeters.
The Tigers placed third in three different individual events, including Emily Philippides (1:19.99) in the 500 meters, Luisa Chantler Edmond (17.25 m) in the weight throw, and Tia Rozario (5.62 m) in the long jump. Along with being a lifetime best, Rozario's mark was also a new national record for Singapore. In the long jump, Megan Ogawa had a collegiate PR of 5.53 meters.
Finally, in the 4x400 meter relay, the quartet of Brianna Mponzi, India Ingemi, Emily Philippides and Grace Lanouette (3:59.34) secured a second-place finish.
The long sprinters dropped down to the 200 meters to work on endurance, and Arianna Smith earned a collegiate PR of 25.50.
Up Next: The Tigers will travel to Cambridge, Massachusetts for HYPs on Saturday, January 29th.
